CO2 NSHEV opening

These are pneumatic opening devices. The basic principle is that, in the case of fire at a certain temperature, the temperature ampule that activates the CO2 cartridge is activated, the push gas fills the pneumatic cylinder, and the piston rod opens the skylight. Depending on the requirements of the particular project, the activation of CO2 cartridge may be carried out by means of a temperature ampule or by means of a fire centre or a fire signaller, such as hand-held indicators, smoke sensors, and the like. The fire centre can be electric (connection to an electrical activator) or a centre with larger CO2 cartridges (connection via pipe (copper) installations).

    • 2 types of certified opening devices available (type ‘G’ and type ‘J’),

    The aerodynamic surfaces (Aa) of the hatches have been tested at the specialised and accredited institute of IFI Aachen Germany. The properties of the Aa surfaces of the hatches are indicated in the EC – declaration of properties under standard EN 12101 – 2:2004.
