Standard Programme
AKSA 16
It is a two-component acrylic resin that does not contain solvents. It contains wax that reduces the emissions of acrylic vapours during solidification. The toughening of the resin is performed at room temperature with added tougheners in the form of a paste or powder.
It is intended for mixing with calcite sands with a grain size of up to several mm. The binding resin gives the end products an aesthetic appearance and good resistance to water and external weather conditions. Composite masses with Akso 16 are applied to a toughened foundation (gelcoat).
AKSA N
It is a three-component acrylic resin that does not contain solvents. It contains wax that reduces the emissions of acrylic vapours during solidification. The toughening of the resin is performed at room temperature with added tougheners in the form of a paste or powder.
Due to its three-component structure the resin is toughened more equally, has better colour stability, the products are well resistant to chemicals and to hydrothermal shocks, and can be thermally reshaped. Aksa N is a binder for composite masses of the ”solid surface” type, which are applied directly onto the mould. It is also intended for mixing with ATH-type fillers.
Packaging
The Aksa 16 and Aksa N resins are packaged in polyethylene containers. The packaging also contains a toughener and filler.
Storage
All components must be stored in their original packaging, in a well-ventilated, dry and dark room at a temperature from +5 to +20°C. Refrigerator storage is recommended.
Under the aforementioned conditions, the shelf life is one month. After that time quality control is recommended. Durability at higher temperatures is two weeks, maximum.

* The solidification time measures the time until the maximum temperature of the composite is reached, with a layer thickness of 2cm and an Aksa 16/filler ratio = 20/100. 4% of toughener is used (per resin).
** The solidification time measures the time until the maximum temperature of the composite is reached, with a layer thickness of 2cm and an Aksa N/ATH ratio = 20/100. C. 0.5% of hardener. The recipe (and solidification) depend also on the type of fillers used.
*** Open time is the time from when the toughener (4% per resin) is mixed in and until viscosity begins to increase, with a layer thickness of 2cm and an Aksa 16/filler ratio = 20/100. After the open time has been reached, the mass begins to be “drawn”.
**** Open time is the time from when the catalyst is mixed in and until viscosity begins to increase, with a layer thickness of 2cm and an Aksa N/ATH ratio = 20/100. After the open time has been reached, the mass begins to be “drawn”.
